Welcome! I provide encouraging, evidence-based, culturally affirming, and LGBTQ-friendly care through individual therapy services. I have a special affinity towards working with Black women and WOC. I hold niche expertise in working with Law Students and Graduate Students. Most importantly, I welcome and serve clients of all genders, cultures, & identities. Treatment concerns may include depression & anxiety, academic or occupational transitions, parenthood, relationships, and other stressors. I will guide our working together to explore your strengths, values, and CBT interventions to equip you to overcome your challenging season.
Founder & Psychotherapist
I’m a homegrown midwest girl, growing up in northside St. Louis before moving to Chicago for college. I graduated from Northwestern University ‘09 (Go ‘Cats!) with my BA in Psychology and Minor in African American Studies. I then worked for a Korean-owned hair company (best job ever) for two years before returning back to school to earn my MA in Clinical Psychology with a Concentration in Latino Mental Health at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology ‘13. Since then, I’ve work with many populations and neighborhoods all throughout Chicago. This journey has been rewarding!
I’m married to a longtime friend (we met at a college party) and we live with our terrific toddler Jamison, and fur babies Rocky and Apollo. I’m an avid reader, and also love to take walks, skate, and bake treats. I love music and listen to neosoul, alternative R&B, female rappers, and house music depending on the vibes. I cherish family, friendships, and nature’s beauty.
I hope to learn more about you, too!
